MODEL HISTORY
The 675LT spider – only the second McLaren to ever wear the LT badge following the worldwide success of its Coupe sibling – is a limited edition model restricted to just 500 examples. Mirroring the 657LT Coupe, it embodies the ethos of the Le Mans winning 1997 McLaren F1 GTR ‘Longtail’, focusing on five key characteristics synonymous with the LT title: lightweight, optimised aerodynamics, increased power, track-focused dynamics and driver engagement. A retractable roof adds further excitement, making the 675LT spider the fastest, most focused and most exhilarating open-top McLaren ever.
Over 50 percent of the parts are unique to the 675LT Spider’s 3.8 litre twin turbo V8 engine in comparison to its predecessor, the 650S. Such significant changes ensured increased levels of torque, drivability and powering lead to the engine unit to receive a new, unique code of M838TL. Producing a striking series of figures when it comes to performance – 675hp (666bhp) and 700Nm (516ft-lb), the 675LT Spider reaches 0-62mph in an eye-watering time of just 2.9 seconds. The seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox is twice as fast and advancements incorporate more efficient turbos, detail design changes to the cylinder heads and exhaust manifolds, new camshaft and lightweight connecting rods, and a faster flowing fuel pump delivery system.
McLaren’s carbon fibre MonoCell chassis provides the 675LT Spider with an unrivalled combination of lightness, safety and stiffness – attributes common amongst all models in the McLaren’s Super Series range. That being said, the obsession with McLaren’s weight saving unlocks a further reduction of 60KG when compared with the 650S; from lightweight carbon fibre racing seats to reducing the windscreen thickness by 1mm, it is evident that no opportunity to save weight was overlooked whilst producing this masterpiece.

EXTERIOR
Finished in McLaren’s celebrated Volcano Orange Elite paint, this 675LT Spider possesses an almost molten intensity, its lustrous finish transitioning from smouldering burnt orange to incandescent copper and gold as light traces the contours of its taut, sculpted bodywork.
A wealth of satin carbon fibre provides an pronounced contrast, highlighting the car’s intricate aerodynamics and uncompromising Longtail character. Its three-piece retractable hardtop preserves the 675LT’s flowing silhouette when raised, before folding neatly beneath the rear tonneau to reveal the full drama of its open-air performance.
Protected by full-body paint protection film, the spectacular paintwork retains its remarkable depth and lustre, presenting in superb condition throughout.
INTERIOR
The cabin’s motorsport character is defined by lightweight carbon-fibre racing seats and an abundance of exposed carbon fibre throughout the door panels, centre console, steering wheel and driver controls. Carbon Black Alcantara and leather upholstery are completed by embossed 675LT branding and McLaren Orange stitching on the seats.
The driver focused interior intensifies the thrill of driving the 675LT Spider, leaving no stone unturned in the quest to optimise performance without compromising driver engagement. The luxuries of navigation, climate control, media ports and a central touchscreen, the 675LT Spider has perhaps the perfect balance between drivability and performance.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
McLaren have taken its most potent 3.8 litre twin turbo V8 engine and carefully improved upon it, unleashing an additional 25bhp and 22Nm for a thrilling total of 666bhp and 700Nm, and a class-leading 541bhp per tonne.
The 675LT Spider outlets a uniquely rich and aggressive sound, thanks to its new lightweight titanium exhaust system with distinctive twin exhaust outlets, and the ignition cut in Sport mode. Of course, the ability to have the roof down only enhances the soundtrack as it fills the cabin at every opportunity.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The unmarked stealth finish ultra lightweight 10-spoke alloy wheels, which come as part of the £17,000 optional Professional Clubsport Pack, sit in impeccable condition with no scuffs or marks in sight. The wheels are wrapped in matching Michelin Pilot Sport 4’s for ultimate grip.
The 675LT Spider benefits from a carbon fibre braking system, greatly increasing stopping power and longevity compared with conventional steel brake systems.
