The Porsche 911 GT3 is a high performance version of the Porsche 911 sports car primarily intended for racing. It is a line of high-performance models, which began with the 1973 911 Carrera RS. The GT3 is named after the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) Group GT3 class in which it was designed to compete.
A number of variations, designed for road and track duty, have been introduced since its launch in 1999.
Porsche introduced the 991 GT3 at the Geneva Motor Show in 2013 featuring a new 3.8 litre direct fuel injection (DFI) flat-six engine developing 475 hp at 8,250 rpm, a Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) double-clutch gearbox and rear-wheel steering. The engine is based on the unit fitted in the 991 Carrera S, but shares only a few common parts. All other components, particularly the crankshaft and valve train, were specially adapted or developed for the 991 GT3. For example, the 991 GT3’s engine uses titanium connecting rods attached to forged piston, in order to allow the engine to reach up to 9,000 rpm. The dual-clutch gearbox is another feature specially developed for the car based on sequential manual transmissions used in racing cars
The 991 GT3 is claimed to be able to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.1 seconds or less, and the quarter mile in 11.2 seconds at 126 mph. The GT3 has a claimed top speed of 195 mph with a lap time on the Nürburgring Nordschleife of 7 minutes and 25 seconds.

Presented in superior Sapphire Blue Metallic this 991 looks every bit the lightweight racing design. The paint work remains in excellent condition and contrasts effectively against the black wheels. A generous spec extends to the outstanding full LED lights with red rear tail lights rounding up a clean, fresh styling scheme.
Ordered to a high specification, the interior provides all the comforts for a road going race car while being beautifully finished with extended leather, alcantara and carbon trim. Both the single and double stitching leads an elegant map line around the dash and door cards and really accentuates the design triumph of the 991 cabin; perfectly presented with no fraying or distortion.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Featuring a new 3.8 litre direct fuel injection (DFI) flat-six engine, forged pistons and titanium rods allow the engine to spin freely up to a heady 8,750 rpm limit. The car has had it’s first service on time and a further oil change and is performing as the lowly miles would suggest.
The PDK 7 speed box is the latest in Porsche rapid fire drivetrain development, punching through the gears in a seamless fashion.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The phenomenal Brembo braking system with red calipers and huge drilled discs dominates the wheel well, barely disguised by the black optioned wheels that look just right against the blue bodywork.
The wheels remain in good condition and are complimented by Michelin’s finest – Pilot Sport Cup 2’s that show plenty of life.
Sold new in September 2014 by Porsche Kuwait, this outstanding left hand drive 991 sits in excellent condition and was imported to the UK by its current owner at just a year old.
It has been serviced by renowned specialists. Parr, in 2016 at 8197 miles and again at 11,214 miles in 2017.
The history file retains all the original books, spare key and service invoices to document work carried out.
