Tracing its lineage back to 1972 the RS badge has been applied sparingly by Porsche to identify six generations of lightweight 911’s homologated for use in motorsport.
The GT3 RS 3.8 model epitomizes Porsche’s dedication to producing track focused, race proven machines that provide a high performance driving experience in its purest from.
With its first appearance in 2010 the GT3 RS 3.8 engine utilizes the bulletproof ‘Mezger’ dry sump block. The result is a reliable engine that produces 454 horsepower, a 15bhp increase over its predecessor with an impressive output of 118bhp per litre.
Weighing just 1370kg the RS is 25kg lighter than the GT3.
